Carbon One New Energy Group is a Chinese anode materials producer with registered capital of ~$128 million. The company covers the full anode product spectrum: natural graphite, artificial graphite, silicon-based, hard carbon, and lithium metal anodes, with applications across lithium-ion batteries, sodium-ion batteries, and solid-state batteries.
The company operates seven production bases across China – in Zhejiang, Shandong, Yunnan, Heilongjiang, and Anhui – with a combined site area exceeding 1.35 million square metres and actual annual production capacity above 300,000 tonnes. The bases span the full industry chain from natural graphite to artificial graphite to silicon-based anode production.
Carbon One’s overseas arm, AONE in South Korea, has a 100,000 t/y anode materials factory which was scheduled to commence production in Q3 2025. Domestically, all bases are located in regions rich in hydropower, wind, and solar, with the company building toward zero-carbon, green, smart factory benchmarks.
Key proprietary technologies include natural graphite purification, coating modification, and integrated artificial SEI technology – all of which have been industrialised.
